In April, 2008 Habitat for Humanity held a Groundbreaking ceremony for four more families on 11th Court. Click here to see all the photos from the Groundbreaking Ceremony.
Between January and March, 2008, two more families moved in to Carter Crossing.
In October, 2007 ground was broken on 5 houses on 11th Court.
In May, 2007 Habitat for Humanity Lake County completed a Blitz Build, building a whole house in just 8 days. To see more pictures from the Blitz Build, click here.
In December, 2007, seven families moved into their houses on 12th Street, just in time for the holidays.
The first site excavation was done in February 2007.
In April, 2006 the ground was broken on the first six houses on 12th Street.
Pre-construction planning for Carter Crossing started in 2003. Members of the Board of Directors, staff and other professionals worked on land acquisition, financial issues, and securing permits for 5 years before excavation for the first home took place. |
