Anyone can donate!  Individuals, businesses, stores, vendors, manufacturers, churches, rehabbers, people demolishing buildings, cities, villages, forest preserves, agencies, anybody.  No matter who you are, donating to the ReStore earns you a tax deduction!  Questions?  Send us an [ email ] !
 
What does the ReStore accept?
 
New and gently-used building materials and some household items are welcome.  We ask for your cooperation in donating only materials that are truly reusable.  Please understand that if we feel that we cannot sell an item, we reserve the right to decline the donation, so that ReStore earnings are used to build homes and not to pay disposal fees.  At times we cannot accept certain items if the store is already overstocked with that item.

Donation Delivery
 
Our donors are encouraged to deliver their donations.  In fact, it is often ineffective economically to make pickups.  Because the list of what donations we can accept changes from time to time, depending on current inventory, please call (847) 249-3160 or [ email us ]  for pre-approval for your donation and to confirm a drop-off appointment.  Donations are accepted at the ReStore Tuesday - Saturday from 9am - 4pm.
  
Do not leave any donated materials outside the ReStore.  Items you dump will likely be stolen or ruined.  Flydumping is illegal.  Help keep our dumpster fees down by not leaving junk at our door.
 
Donation Pickups
 
For very large items, and for large quantities, limited pickup service is available.  Due to the restrictions of our insurance carrier, all donations to be picked up must be placed in the garage or outside the home.  To schedule your donation pickup, call (847) 249-3160 or [ email us ] .  Include a complete description of all items including condition, age, quantity, size, along with your name and contact information, the address where the items are located and the timeframe in which they will be available.  View our donation criteria here.  
 
We're not limited to Gurnee and Waukegan, or even Lake County!  We'll go down to Evanston, Glenview and Wilmette!  We'll go out to Wauconda and the Round Lake area!  We'll go up to Antioch and Zion!  And everywhere in between!
